6 handed table, you have 110 dollars in front of you.
Dealt AA in the SB. UTG+1 raises to 3 dollars. He's aggressive and makes continuation bets 100% of the time in position. He has $180.
Folded to you, and the BB is a total rock, with $60 in front. Mixing up a bit, you call.
The rock in the BB then *re-raises* to 8 dollars. The UTG+1 calls the bet.
Your move?

Make it $30, committing the rock if he calls.

Push, and stack the BB when a King or some weird 4 card straight or flush doesn't hit the board.
You might even get the UTG + 1 guy to call with his lower then JJ pair or sOOOted connector.
Or.... you could feign weakness again and call but have no clue where you're at after the flop.

HI YOU HAVE ACES
RE- THE FUCK-RAISE
Posted by: Absinthe at August 2, 2006 09:27 AM
Reraise to 25. Try to isolate against the guy with the "monster" hand. Besides, there is nothing stranger than a call-reraise. He'll be confused and, due to the perceived strength of his hand, probably unwilling to fold despite (or rather because of) the confusion.

All-in. You are getting paid off

$19 in the pot... I make it $35 total to go. Or maybe even just put the big blind all in at $60 and either take the pot down there, or at least (hopefully) get heads up with one of them.
Actually, it depends... are my aces red, black, or one of each? :)

Make it 24 to go,
You don't want more than one with you to the end.

I agree with your play here because of your assessment of the two players in the hand with you. I would have expected a call from UTG+1 and the fold that you got from the Rock. Thing is, you have to figure what will happen after the flop (implied odds, thinking ahead like chess, etc....) If there are under cards, you would maybe make a pot bet and try to get it all-in as soon as possible or take it down then, so why wait?
