Things that make me happy - today version

1. Spending the afternoon with a friend who tells me "You are the only friend I have that can immediately make me smile."

2. Wasting away that afternoon on South Congress in the warm Texas sun, watching the freaks of Austin go by, and laughing myself silly.

3. Knowing that I do, occasionally, put to use some of the things I learn.

Just called, because I knew I had the best hand, and to raise would have possibly driven them out and resulted in a smaller pot. Alas, the night was pretty much downhill from there.

4. Getting to pretend that I'm a big time poker player and playing with DoubleAs for a brief bit.

5. Being reminded that I do have some of the greatest friends in the world.

since you were in position, so to speak, even if you had raised, err, reraised after sf001k raised to .80, and everyone got out, you would have won the same amout, but, possibly more... ie, there was no other chance to make the pot bigger other than you raising... it certainly was not going to get any smaller.. my guess is that they would have certainly called your raise, and prolly one of them would have reraised you.. i would have called as you did, but would have reraised when the oppurtunity came...... it was your pot...

nice hand too.. :)

Ain't nothin better than letting the other people bet for you. Except, that is, for seeing the look in their eyes when you re-raise them after they've been betting into you over and over and over and you've got the nuts.....

Yea, ephro pointed out to me I was correct for not re-raising on the turn, but should have on the river.

So I was half-right.
