iPods are the new blogs.

Well...my blog didn't cost me $500! LOL

It would have been cheaper to buy it on campus, but then I would have had to wait (I am all about instant gratification) and I wouldn't have had the benefits of the accessories (!!) and the Apple people to tell me about the things like the Apple care program (which you should get if you are a Windows user...cause you get one free phone call, then after that, you're SOL, and the people at the store can't help you, because you have the mark of Bill on you).

But yes, I got my new toy. :D I considered the U2 version, because I love black, but decided I would be good and save the extra $50 and go for the regular white. And I didn't even get a blue skin for it (because really, that was $30, and if I wasn't willing to cough up $50 for the SE, why would I cough up $30 for a skin?). I did get a black hard-shell thingy for it though, because it will be spending a lot of time residing in back-pack world. And because Anna at the Apple store was an excellent saleswoman. :)

Had I known I could use it through the radio too...hell, I would have gotten one last semester!

It hit me shortly after we left the Apple store though..."Do you realize how much poker I could have played with the money I just spent??"

Now to see how fast I can fill up 20GB...

Sweet! I wouldn't classify iPods as "the new blogs". Yeah, they're trendy, but they also are by far the best in breed for the technology. Sure, you can find cheaper ones for the same capacity, but in terms of full integration with a player as well as a super easy to use interface, there's no denying that iPod/iTunes is by far the best.

I didn't get the service plan on any of the 3 iPods my family has (my son's 3rd G and mine and my wife's 4th G). I've had zero problems so far, hopefully it will continue.

I do need to get some sort of case though. While not quite "backpack world", I do carry it around a lot and I'm sure I'm just one time away from scratching the display.
